Returns to original departure point
One of the most-visited parks in the United States, Yosemite National Park is famed for its wild beauty and massive natural attractions. After morning pickup at your San Francisco hotel (selected hotels only), cruise across the new San Francisco Bay Bridge and through historic Gold Rush towns as the urban bustle gives way to the rugged landscape of the Sierra Nevada.

When you arrive at the park, stretch your legs at Tuolumne Grove with a hike among some of the oldest and largest trees in the world (weather permitting). Crane your neck to see the top of the giant sequoia trees, including a tunneled-out tree large enough to drive a car through.

Continue on to Tunnel View for an unbeatable view of Yosemite’s photogenic valley framed by the giant granite formations of Half Dome and El Capitan. Look for expert rock climbers trying to scale the world-class cliffs and, in springtime, watch the thundering cascade of Yosemite Falls.

Enjoy some free time to explore the park on your own. Rent a bike and cruise along the flat paths of Yosemite Valley (not included), hike to a nearby waterfall or visit the Ansel Adams Gallery to see some of the most famous images of the park ever captured on film. Lunch options include a picnic on the Merced River or a casual meal at the Yosemite Lodge (own expense). Reconnect with your guide at the appointed time, and relax on the scenic drive back to San Francisco.

Please note: The weather in Yosemite is highly variable and includes rain and snow in winter and high temperatures in summer. The itinerary may be adapted to make the most of Yosemite during different seasons and times of the year. The giant sequoias are best visited between May and October. During the rest of the year, snow and ice conditions may prevent access to roads and trails, and other activities may be substituted.

If you don't have other options to see Yosemite...
Guylaine_T

Guide was engaging , friendly. The booking and pre-trip communication was great. Could have used more guidance once we got there in terms of where the trails were. We were given a pamphlet with a map, but it was too scaled down to see where the trails were and began. Time was lost there. A long bus ride, with not that much walking/hiking. I realize there was a mishap where we lost someone for over an hour, and hence lost some tour time, but even without that, I would have preferred to have more hiking and exploring time.

It is nice to hear that overall your trip to Yosemite was enjoyable and that your interactions with our staff were good. Besides the Yosemite National Park map, we also pass out a summary of things to do on your 2-3 hours of free time in the Valley. Did you receive this? If not, please call our guest services office so we can apologize and make good on our Satisfaction Guarantee. BTW, a good way to have even more hiking time is to do an overnight tour of Yosemite...very special!

Long day but worth it!

Organized with plenty of stops to see the main areas of interest. If you only have a day to spend in Yosemite, this tour is worth it. Be prepared to do some brisk walking if you want to maximize your time in each area but you are also given the option to explore within your physical abilities. There are enough time to take photos although the bus can't stop in certain spots, you'll still be able to see the beautiful views. Gino was our driver/ guide and he kept us safe and entertained. He also gave us a surprise at the end of the tour which we all enjoyed! Thank you!

Broken down, bus, bone-jarring ride., springs and shocks need replacement Phone recharger port shorted out, overhead lights inoperable. No onboard restroom. Stopped in two-horse Oakdale at a grocery store. Loud, obnoxious guide who thought she was funny. 18-hour day for about 1/2 hour of photo opportunities. A complete disappointment. Easily the worst trip of our visit. Never again.

Bonita was great, she was a lively kind spirit! Made the trip exciting and enjoyable. Careful and considerate driver through those windy roads. Tip: going up into Yosemite, sit on the right side of the bus, the views are spectacular! She gave us plenty of time to explore the park, made 5 stops in total. She played us a movie on the return ride, which was very enjoyable and relaxing on the ride back. Definitely would book again. She made my first trip to SanFran/Yosemite so enjoyable!
