Great experience and the food was delicious! It was our first time white water rafting and our rafting guide "Devil Fish" was the best! He had a lot of knowledge and experience. The scenery was beautiful, would definitely recommend!

Good rafting, even in the dry season!

Honestly a great experience, even in the dry season! Only reason for 4 stars - our guide was not great, but that is the luck of the draw sometimes. We were all beginners, and when we made a mistake he would straight up yell at us instead of trying to tell us how to avoid that mistake in the future. We talked to other groups on the same tour and their guides were much better, so it seems like we were just unlucky.

Awesome White River Rafting experience!

Pacuare river is rated the 5th best river in the world for white river rafting. We went in January so the water level was low. Even so, we had some nice cat 3 and cat 4 experiences. My wife claimed that 4 hours rowing was a bit too much, while I could have rowed for 4 more hours! Go figure.... This is an activity that is a must do while in Costa Rica. If you don't do it, you'll be missing out.

- they feed you great breakfast and lunch, so you won’t be hungry - I was a first timer and had a blast being on the river for 3 hours - we got to go under some waterfalls and got to swim in the river for a bit. - the scenery was breathtaking. - The guide was very funny and patient.

Our guide was awesome. His name was “Tes” short for Andres. He glided us through those Class Threes snd Fours like a Champion. Was quick to point out all the sloths and birds during the calm areas on the River. The best tour ever!!!

Very safe and professional guides. Plenty of instructions given to help navigate the world famous Pacaure. Have your bathing suit and quick drying shirt on under your clothes when picked up. Bring sturdy water socks, a change of clothes, and a small towel to shower off with afterwards. Lunch meal is yummy. Being able to follow instructions and a little physical agility is a must. People from all over the world travel to see this river. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing activity to do while in Costa Rica! I had so much fun and met so many nice people and our tour guide was very knowledgable and hilarious. Exploradoras Outdoor (The company) picked me up right on time from my hotel and provided breakfast and lunch. I didn't get to raft down Pacuare river due to high water from the previous rainy days but they took us to a similar river. Can't blame them for mother nature but I still loved the experience!

Soooo much fun! We were picked up in a timely manner and even though Pacuare was closed to all rafters (water level was too high to be safe), we rafter another nearby River and still had a blast. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful for all of us beginners. Be warned though- the drive is pretty long and brutal (but scenic). Breakfast and lunch were provided and were tasty and filling.

Tour actually provided by Exploradores Outdoor. Destination Services was just a broker. I definitely recommend booking directly with Exploradores Outdoor. Facilities were clean and organized, plenty of changing stalls, bathroom stalls, showers and locker for your stuff. Rapids level depends on season. I went in December and it wasn’t raining so it was a Level 2-3 at best. If you’d like more challenging level stay for the overnight during wet season and they will take you higher up. Nevertheless, had fun especially with the chill and adventurous group i was with. Guide is very experienced,, chill, and fun.
