8 HOURS WITH NO TOILET FACILITIES If you do not want to have to squat with other passengers around you and then carry the excrement back on the bus in an unsealed paper bag that stinks out the whole van then this trip is not for you. Why there is no mention that there are no toilets facilities on this 8 hour trip in the “what to expect” section of the trip details I cannot understand. Perhaps it is because had there been we would never had gone on this trip. My wife came back from this trip in a lot of pain having had her whole day ruined. The day had also started off badly when, even after directly emailing (through the Viator system) the tour company, who turned out to be B-Side Travel of either San Pedro de Atacama or Santiago de Chile, the day before as they had not contacted me to confirm our pick up time and then failed to reply to my email, it was only because we simply got ready earlier than the tour was due to start and waited outside our hotel (and hoped they would turn up) that we were actually ready for Eric when he did pick us up. Credit where credit is due Eric our guide and driver was very good, as was the food he provided. The same cannot be said for the company’s organisation, along with failing to notify us of our pick up time and failing to reply to emails, the mini bus they provided was rather battered, smelt, had broken lights and two very illegal (as per UK law) front tyres. To date I have tried contacting B-side travel by various means and have had no reply to any of my communications, I can only advise staying well clear of this company.
