Returns to original departure point
When you arrive at chef Eugenio’s farmhouse, located just 5 miles (8 km) outside of Alghero, he and his wife will welcome you with typical Italian hospitality. Originally from the south of the island, they enjoy hosting visitors from all over the world to share authentic family recipes.

Roll up your sleeves, tie on an apron, and join Eugenio in his kitchen to whip up a 4-course menu featuring authentic Sardinian dishes like tomato bruschetta, gnocchi with lamb sauce, and scallops with lemon and rosemary. Use fresh produce, fish, and meats from the local market along with high-quality Puglian olive oil for a true taste of island cooking. If you prefer, you can also simply relax among the convivial atmosphere and watch instead of joining in the cooking.

When the work is done, sit down along your fellow travelers and Eugenio’s family to enjoy an appetizer, first and second courses, and a dessert. Enhance the cuisine’s flavors with a selection of Sardinian red wine, and sip distinctive local aperitifs like homemade lemoncello and mirto, a liqueur made from myrtle berries. See Itinerary for a sample menu.

It’s a fantastic way to immerse yourself in local culture and savor a meal you won’t get in any restaurant.

Fantastic experience, great host, super food!

We were received by our host Irene and her husband and son who both helped her in the background. Irene is a great cook and host, and knows how to pass on her knowledge to us, a family of three with a 19-year old son. Understanding the different types of flour, creating various pasta forms and fillings, all accompanied with helpful comments made the hours pass very quickly. And yes, there was food, plenty of it! Some homemade appetizers, bread, water and wine, and finally the highlight(s): our own pasta. It was a fantastic experience and I would recommend this for families or friends, with or without cooking experience.

Fantastic Evening

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening with Irene at the end of September. We prepared delicious pasta and had a wonderful dinner served to us by the pool. Irene explained everything about the process and it all seemed so easy (except the little Gnocchi which was a challenge) that we bought a ravioli mold the next day to try it at home. Irene emailed us all of the recipes including the information for the sauces and appetizers (which her brother prepares separately). I would highly recommend this class. We loved it!!

My boyfriend and I had a great time in this class! We took it with four other people and learned how to make a few different types of the pasta. Once the pasta was setting we all sat down at a table and ate an amazing threw course meal with wine! The location was a bit difficult to find, but the host actually drove to where we were to pick us up and bring us to the correct location. The place was such a unique and beautiful property. Next time I visit Sardinia I would definitely stay there and take another cooking class! Highly recommend!

we are a family of 3, with a 11 year old daughter. we took the cooking lesson together. Also our 11 year old attended and loved it. We were warmly welcomed into the house and kitchen of the host. She was very friendly and patient. She explained every step of the pasta making process and included our daughter in very way. We made tagliatelle, ravioli, gnocchi, batter for tempura and a dessert. After the cooking lesson, we could eat what we prepared, on the cozy patio near the pool. It was really a lovely evening with family and good food

Amazing experience

We had such a wonderful experience with Irene and her brother. Irene was in touch a few days prior to the evening via WhatsApp and sent us details for arriving at her home, and it was easy to use Google Maps to find the spot. Irene is extremely warm and friendly and her English is easy to understand. We were joined by a father and his daughter from Belgium who had been coming to Irene’s agritourismo for years, a further testament to the experience, as well as another couple on their honeymoon. Irene taught us to make several types of pasta from scratch as well as the fillings for ravioli and dessert. We took a few breaks during the class for apertivo. The meal was fantastic (accompanied by homemade wine from the farm and delicious veggies/sauces) and we had great conversation throughout, learning much about Sardinian culture. We could not recommend this experience more.

A great family experience!

My family of four took this class with Irene in her beautiful home. It was a true hands-on cooking class where she demonstrated and then we followed her lead and made 5 different types of pasta from start to finish. They provided delicious snacks toward the end of our work. We did not cook the pasta, as after it was all made, we were led to a beautiful pool-side gazebo set with four beautiful and delicious vegetable-based starters. It felt like a private dining experience as she and her husband continuously cleared one course to bring another delicious plate, using the pasta we made. My children of 8 and 11 years LOVED the experience of learning how to make pasta as much as my husband and I did! Irene and her husband are lovely, gentle people. I highly recommend this!
