Unusual and Worthwhile Experience
Janet_B
, Apr 2022
Going to Sinai can be a bit of an unusual experience. But is definitely worthwhile. There are many checkpoints and the different tour groups caravan together for safety. There are also some unusual local customs; such as the requirement to pay to go to the bathroom and for toilet paper at the rest stops and at St. Catherine's. However, the experience is very much worthwhile. Those going on the hike through the night should be fit and not afraid of heights. If you are fortunate to have Khaled as your Beduoin guide, you can expect exceptional service. He was mindful of everyone's needs in the group and was very attentive. I highly recommend him.

Ok, but sales people harassed and too much time at shops
David_K
, Apr 2022
The group on the tour was a good group. There was too much time spent at coffeehouses on way, as a sales technique it seemed. We were aggressively harassed by salespeople with blankets, particularly at Mt. Sinai drop off, and the tour guide did nothing to protect the group. They were almost confrontational salespeople. For a holy site, this was disappointing. More history pointing out landmarks would have been appreciated as this is quite a notable site for Jews and Christians. The monastery was not open and we could not see Moses' Well and the Burning Bush. The story of St. Catherine provided on the way back was appreciated.

Hello, David. Thank you so much for taking the time to share review about your recent experience at mount Sinai trip. We apologize that the trip organization did not satisfy your expectations. Unfortunately the monastery was closed on 7 April, it was a religious feast and monchs had a private liturgy, away of visitors. We hope you will be back to Egypt and can go for a trip to St.Catherine monastery, which we organize separately, without climbing the mount. Please contact us direcly and we will be more than happy to book it for you with a discount. As for salespeople importunity we will give instruction to all our guides to pay more attention to this point to keep the group away of harassment. Thank you again for the feedback. We promise we can do better next time. Best regards, Natalia Nagy

Great experience

It’s a great experience and an amazing view at the top. The drivers and guide were on point with the pickup and drop off locations and the local Bedouin guide was nice and did a good job at keeping track of everyone in our group on the way up.

The Climb
Laquinna_A
, Mar 2022
This was such an amazing experience! The hike was quite difficult, but I am glad that I was able to complete this once in a lifetime opportunity. During the climb, our guide didn't give any information about the story; however, before the climb the tour guide did give a bit of information. So, if you're not paying attention during the drive over, you may miss the story. The guide during our climb was absolutely amazing! There were times I was separated from the group, and he made sure I was safe and had time to catch back up. The views at the top are worth the climb! 10/10 recommend this experience

There is a lot of time...
Samuel_M
, Feb 2022
There is a lot of time spent on the bus, however I found the hike worth the drive. There is something magical about hiking up the mountain under the stars. It is cold at the top, but your patience is greeted with a beautiful bright sunrise.

Thank you so much for your review, Samuel. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us and other travellers — and we agree, metting sunrise at the top is worth seeing! We look forward to see you again in Egypt.

Sunrise Hike
Chaska_G
, Jan 2022
The experience to visit Mount Sinai was a once in a lifetime journey, however please be prepared to bring extra money to use the bathroom (and your own toilet paper), blankets and other comfort items for the trek. The path is well traveled but physically taxing and covered with camel feces that is hard to see at night (its unfortunate the lack of upkeep for this historical site). The tour guide was patient and made sure that everyone got up the mountain safety, about 3.5 hours in the dark (bring a flashlight if you need it). Also, once up the top be prepared to wait another hour in the freezing cold to watch the sunrise. Heavy jacket, hat, gloves are a MUST or you will freeze! One of the downsides was that the transportation to and from the site was pretty tight, everyone was crammed in a small vehicle and me and my partner wore masks the entire time because the situation was not COVID friendly. The trip was a total of 6 hours round trip in this vehicle (3 each way), so being crammed was not acceptable. Other tours had larger, more spacious vehicles so if anything I would recommend that the vehicle is upgraded to ensure that safety precautions are in place and passengers have a comfortable ride.

Hello, Chaska. Thanks for sharing your feedback and some useful tips with future travellers. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations and will take in consideration your recommendations regarding more spacious vehicles. We’ll strive to do better. Hope to see you again in Egypt. Kind regards, Natalia

Lunga escursione ma che ne vale la pena
Stefano_M
, May 2022
