Via Castellammare, near Via Garibaldi, next to the Catalani Church -GPS 38°11'29.2"N 15°33'22.3"E- At the departure time, you will find our staff waiting for you at the meeting point with the Segways ready in the street.

This activity will end right where it started.
Begin in central Messina, where you’ll join up with your guide and participate in a brief Segway training session. After you feel ready to ride, hit the streets with your guide.

Weave through the bustling Piazza Pugliatti, home to Messina’s Court of Justice and University. Continue along the wide boulevards until you reach the resplendent Messina Duomo, one of the finest cathedrals in Sicily. Admire its Norman-style architecture and gaze upward to see its famed astronomical clock, said to be the world’s largest.

Afterward, glide past some of the city's Baroque fountains and see the Arab-Norman design of the Church of Santissima Annunziata dei Catalani. You'll also swing past Piazza Antonello, where the Neoclassical palaces sit.

Then, head toward the medieval church of San Francesco d’Assisi and the tree-lined paths of Messina’s public park. Top off your 3-hour trip with a stop at the Neptune Fountain and the Palace of the Government before returning to your original departure point.

Leo and Giovanni were lovely, and ready to try and answer any questions about Messina. We had never ridden segways before but they were patient and made us feel safe the whole time. The only let down was that the radio so you could hear the tour kept cutting out, so we missed bits.

Excellent tour of Messina. Fransceco and his lovely girlfriend were very good. They were very safety conscious, giving us a full lesson on how to operate the Segway. So do not be afraid, just do it! We saw so much of Messina via Segway mode beats walking hands down! This was my husbands first time, and he loved it. The only thing that concerned me was the meeting place. I find in Europe they do not give clear directions to a business to meet at. It is usually a piazza or on a corner. For us in North America, we are used to signs or businesses as landmarks to meet. It's just very different. However, if you bring the phone number, and are standing in a piazza, just call, they will fetch you. I highly recommend this tour, and would definitely take it again. Thank you for a wonderful experience Francesco and family. Wishing you all the best.

Our overall tour was very vice. This was our 7th European Segway tour. Our meeting place was easy to find and only a couple of blocks from the boat dock. The CTS Segway guy met us and our guide Nina. The owner spoke no English but our guide spoke very good English. It was her very first time on a Segway, but she picked it up quickly as do we all on our first try. We toured around the downtown for about 2.5 hours. Ponchos were provided when we got some liquid sunshine for about 20 minutes. The clock tower church is a must see at 12noon. It has many moving parts, bells and a few surprises. It would have been nice to have a map showing the exact location to meet since CTS does not have a office there. The Segway's are transported by van to the meeting location. Overall an enjoyable tour. Helmets were offered but no headsets provided or water.

Great way to see the city of Messina. Our guide was fabulous so much history and insight were given. We received excellent instructions on operating the Segway my husband and I had never used one before. We had a blast and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering a different way to see the city!

The segway tour was a great way to see the city. It was very hot but we forgot about it because the sight were so educational and entertaining. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made it very interesting. As a middle aged couple it took a little bit of practice to master the segway but not too much time.. Both Leo and his son Francesco were very helpful and sweet. Yes, we would recommend this tour but maybe when its cooler The church was a great experience with the lion roaring, the rooster and the rest of the animated features.

The tour and guide were both good and Messina has a nice history, but I had a hard time finding the Segway tour operator. This is Viator's fault as the picture/avatar shown on my tour ticket were not of the Catalani Church where the meeting point was, but instead of a nearby cathedral. The cathedral is very nice, but it is NOT where you meet and it is not the Catalani church. The clock tower next to the cathedral is a must see show at noon everyday that lasts for 10 minutes.
