I had the most amazing time on this hike to Pulpit Rock. First of all, I was very happy with the communication from the tour company regarding pickup at my AirBnb. I was told that I would be picked up from my AirBnb (right outside the city center of Stavanger) at 7am, and the driver/tour guide were not only there on time, they were early!! I am not a hiker in my "normal" life, but our guide made the hike approachable for everyone in our group and went at a pace that worked for all of us - we took several breaks on the way up and way down for snacks/water, while our guide talked to us about the history of the area as well as spending time to get to know us and our desires to hike Pulpit Rock during our trips. It was a fantastic experience and made for an excellent start to my time in Norway during my month-long Europe trip. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

My husband and I loved hiking to Pulpit Rock, even though it poured rain the entire hike. Our guide, Hege, an expert mountaineer, did a wonderful job of encouraging our group all the way up to the top. We were with a great group, with various levels of fitness. Hege made sure everyone was comfortable with the pace and told us many interesting facts along the way. For those wanting to hike to Pulpit Rock, make sure you have adequate clothing and good hiking boots. When it rains, the rocks are very slippery!
Amazing !

This trip was the perfect way to spend a day exploring the Norwegian outdoors! Hege was a GREAT guide, who was very experienced with fun insights. I would highly highly recommend this to anyone looking for a day trip to one of the most picturesque locations near Stavanger.
Moderate hike, boots and a decent fitness level recommended.
Breathtaking views!!!

Despite rain and cold wind on top, the experience is absolutely unforgettable! The views are breathtaking. Our guide, Hega, was very nice and professional, she took care of us, so that we do not getting too wet and cold. The hike requires some basic skills, the clothes must be appropriate for weather (especially if it is rainy and windy), very important to wear hiking shoes, because there are many slippery stones (kind of stares) on the way up. My recommendation - do not cancel the hike if the weather is not very good and you have good clothes. The guide will cancel it if the weather does not allow the safe hike.

Unforgettable trip! 10/10! Lovely guide and everything was on time. Worth every cent. Majestic views!
We also did the hike to Kjeragbolten which was more demanding but absolutely wonderful. If you want to do the both, I would recommend one free day in the middle for rest.

The guide was super knowledgeable and very friendly. Our trip was super easy as they picked us up on time from our hotel and took us to the trailhead. My out of shapeness was tricky as there are a few climbs on the hike but in the end the guides patiently waited for me at the top of each section. The views on the whole hike were worth it though, I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants an amazing experience.
We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
