Just a beautiful day all-round, staff were friendly and knowledgeable food great. Sarah Island tour is an insight into life back then. I would highly recommend you count this one day pencilled in, when planning your Tassie trip. No need to be up top deck fun on all levels. Thanks guys. Jan and Greg

Red boat tour of the Gordon superb

Sensational!!! We dodged the bad weather. The skippers commentary was informative and on point. The whole trip was amazing from around Macquarie Harbour through Hell’s Gates to the aqua culture and then the history of Sarah Island convict penitentiary. Completed the day with a fabulous lunch and gentle cruise up the Gordon River learning of the history and significance of the Huon pine piners. So much history here. A must if your on the West coast. Get on the red boat

My friend and I had a marvellous time on board and we enjoyed the on shore experiences as well. Our seats in premium class were excellent for viewing the river. The staff were professional and friendly. Our only criticism was not receiving a drink of water with lunch or even a complimentary glass of Tasmanian Pinot Noir.

A great way of not only seeing the wilderness but getting an appreciation of the history of the area. The stillness of the water with amazing reflections was a treat. Staff were friendly and attentive. The short walk through the bush with informed commentary was excellent.
