Start your Sydney city sightseeing tour with an afternoon pickup near Circular Quay, and then travel by a comfortable air-conditioned coach on a comprehensive tour that introduces you to Sydney. Your guide provides entertaining and informative commentary about the city’s culture and history as you travel past iconic structures, historical landmarks, and lush gardens.
In central Sydney, head to the Rocks district, where the first European settlers arrived in the 1780s. Then drive by the famous Sydney Opera House and its lesser-known counterpart, the Conservatorium of Music. As you continue through the city, admire the green oasis of Hyde Park and the architecture of St. Mary’s Cathedral, which pays homage to Paris' Notre Dame. View the parklands of the Domain, Parliament House, Sydney Tower, Sydney Town Hall, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Campbell’s Cove, and Mrs Macquarie’s chair.
Head out to Rushcutters Bay where the celebrated Royal Cruising Yacht Club is located, and see Double Bay. Enjoy stunning views when your coach stops at the Gap, the entrance to Sydney Harbour on the southern headland. Then drive along the coast to popular Bondi Beach, where you can stroll along the expansive white-sand beach or pop into a local cafe for refreshments (own expense).
As your coach swings back towards central Sydney, pass through bohemian Kings Cross, Sydney’s former red-light district, which still has an edgy reputation today. You'll also see Paddington and Sydney’s Chinatown, then wheel through Darling Harbour, Sydney’s vibrant restaurant and entertainment area, which is known for well-designed contemporary buildings and lovely landscaping.
Your tour ends in central Sydney, leaving you perfectly positioned to continue exploring the city on your own.
