Majestic Meteora!
Mariah_H
, Oct 2020
Was a wonderful day trip to such a majestic place. Even though it was one of very few days of rain in Greece, it added to the mystery and ambiance of Meteora! The clouds rolling in through the rocks and between the monasteries was beautiful. Our guide Lazarus was helpful and funny, a great combination! Know that running these kinds of excursions in times of Covid is difficult, precautions we 'Ok' but felt the social distancing could have been a bit better for the van journey.

Dear Mariah thank you for taking time to send us your comments! We really appreciate your feedback and we are very happy that even though Meteora were "dressed" in clouds and rain you found them as charming as we do with their winter fragrance! It is a magic environment where all types of weather fit perfectly! Even though we go 100% as per the Greek State's guidance about covid19, we will take into serious consideration your kind comment in order to assure the comfortable travel of our travelers! We hope to see you again!

This was an exceptional tour which exceeded our expectations. Our driver/guide, Dimitri, was knowledgeable and entertaining, and attentive to everyone’s individual needs. Meteora is a “must see” destination and this tour gave us a great experience that we will always remember.

Fantastic Experience!

Dimitiri was an excellent host. He was extremely efficient, friendly, funny, accommodating and made the experience so enjoyable. The trip itself is fantastic. The whole group were friendly and we always kept informed of the plans of the day by Dimitiri. I know the whole group really enjoyed the trip and lunch stop. I have no faults about the trip at all. The tour was also extremely well organised and well adapted with the recent COVID changes and we were made to feel at ease despite new health regulations.

This tour was everything and more than I expected! Our guide Dimitris was excellent in his knowledge and enthusiasm, and we had an interesting and diverse group which helped. The views outside and within the monesteries were fantastic. A tour I will remember forever.

spectacular sight. Not so great tour.

the sight was amazing. However the guides were really just escorts..we had very dull rest stops. twice at the same dull motorway cafeteria there and back. lunch at ugly restaurant nowhere near the scenic taverns beneath meteora. We had to pay extra entrance fees to the monasteries i feel i was ripped off badly.

I would have given it s 2 star but ai decided to add 1 for the tour attendant. She was trying really hard to smooth things out. First, the bus was very old. It even had built in ash trays in its seats. The airconditioner was barely working. It was hot. Then our tire got flat so we had to wait for it to be fixed. The good thing was that we waited at one of the rest areas where the tour buses stop so all the tourists could spend money on junk. We wasted more than hour waiting for the tire to be fixed. In order to "save time", the money for the entrance were collected on the bus, however several men, including a 17 year old child, were not allowed inside the monastery because their shorts were too short. They were not even allowed to cover themselves up. 3 euros for the entrance was not a big deal so no one asked for the money back, however the incident ruined the mood and the overall experience. On the way back we stopped at one of the tavernas for lunch The food was mediocre to say the least and extremely overpriced. Usually you can get the greek salad in thessaloniki for 3-4 euros. here it was 9! We had to make another unnecessary stop at the same rest area we stopped on the way there. Overall, very disappointing experience.

Pella and Vergina
Alexander C
, Jun 2019
This trip was worth it if you had done some research into these areas. The archeological site at Pella and the museum were interesting while the tombs were amazing. I would recommend this trip if you have an interest. Our host was friendly and spoke English. However it would have been helpful if he had told us what to expect before we reached the locations. Lunch was good value and excellent.

Bus trip to Meteora
Alexander C
, Jun 2019
This was a great trip and well worth the three hours travel time there and back to see these monasteries. The scenery was amazing and the views spectacular. Our host Natasha was very helpful and prepared us for what to expect including climbing 142 steps to reach the top of one of the monasteries. A must if you’re traveling to Thessaloniki. We recommend you book online and research the best pickup location. Also bring snacks as the day is long and lunch was expensive.
