Our tour guide, Giulia, was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and the food was excellent! Would highly recommend this tour!
A great night

Nice thing to do for foreigners to experience local food and drinks. It was fun that Giulia showed us the quiet part of Shinjuku and traditional mini Izakaya. Also the knowledge about the culture and tradition.
So much for listening...

I had a gut feeling that it would be a risk to book a tour that is non-refundable, but since this one had such great reviews, I took a chance. In retrospect, I should have stuck with my gut feeling. Of the 7 tours we took while visiting Tokyo, this one was, by far, the worst. Our tour guide was RUDE, which is not typical of how nice and cordial most Japanese people are. She seemed like she did not want to be working that evening and, in my opinion, let her feelings show. She came across as being quite full of herself. Secondly, I had specified food allergies and preferences in advance, and these were not adhered to. I realize it was a rather large group that evening, and we were not the only ones on the tour. I would have preferred this company contact me to cancel (which I would have understood) due to not being able to fulfill our dietary restrictions as specified. Instead, they just decided to keep our money and make us suffer. This is too expensive of a tour for that kind of greedy business behavior. This tour visits 3 restaurants and a 4th restaurant that is only a "street food-style" stop. We were left to stand out in the cold for a good half hour before a small portion of "street food" from the restaurant was served. I didn't understand why we couldn't actually go inside the restaurant to sit down and enjoy the street food that way. This 4th stop made very little sense - if they wanted to serve us street food, why wouldn't we have visited a true street food establishment for that? Last, but not least, was dessert at a green tea shop. While the green tea ice cream was delicious, I felt that for the money we spent, dessert could have been a little bit better than it was. There is absolutely NO WAY I would take this tour again, and I absolutely cannot recommend it to anyone. Find other, better things to do while you're in Tokyo.
