Meet and greet the local tour guide and the rest of the small group near the front entrance of the Village by the Grange in downtown Toronto. There will be a brief introduction to Toronto before beginning the approximately 3.5-hour ride around Toronto’s eastern islands.

The tour begins with a brief ferry ride across the Inner Harbour to the eastern Toronto Islands, where bicycles are preferred in this, the largest car-free community in North America.

See historic landmarks like the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, the oldest existing lighthouse on the Great Lakes and one of Toronto's oldest buildings, and the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, one of the world’s oldest and largest yacht clubs. Then stop for a snack and admire Toronto’s waterfront parks and beaches, as well as a breathtaking panoramic view of the city skyline.

Throughout the tour, the guide will provide information about the history of the islands over the past 200 years as well as its role as a residential community, recreation spot, transportation hub, scenic retreat — even a sporting facility. The tour ends back near the Village by the Grange.

We originally booked a bike tour of Toronto Islands, but it was flooded while we were there. We were offered a different tour of downtown Toronto and the Don Valley for the same time and price, guaranteeing the tour with a full refund if we weren't satisfied. We were beyond satisfied as the Don Valley is a hidden gem just outside of the city that we would not have otherwise experienced. Jane and Grace guided us through the downtown, stopping at the major landmarks out of the city, and then to off-road bike paths. It was a perfect way to see Toronto from a different, more engaged perspective. We were a small group of 8 adults and my 10 year old, who felt perfectly safe riding in the city bike lanes. What a fantastic experience!

Great way to start off your trip to Toronto! The bikes were in tip-top shape! Although we didn't get to tour the Toronto Islands word from the tour company was that they were flooded, we did get an enjoyable tour of the valley of Toronto. Our pedaling tour guide was Jane Jane was an excellent guide as she was very knowledgeable about Toronto and kept the entire group on an enjoyable pace....keeping everyone together like a family of ducklings following the mother duck. Definitely recommend this leisurely riding tour with this company.

It was really fun to have a group bike ride on the Toronto Islands. Nice tour guide, and good choice of ride. I give it five stars, and would add on one suggestion - to include going up the lighthouse if it's open at the time of the ride, because the staircase up is interesting, if they still allow visitors up.

The ride on the actual island is nice and flat. We had a great day and it didn't even feel like 3 hours. Our guide Rob was knowledgeable and even helped a lost boy find his parents.
