Your tour from Venice to Murano, Torcello, and Burano begins as you board your motorboat and set off across the Venetian Lagoon to your first stop, the island of Murano, which is actually several small isles dissected by a wide canal. Disembark the boat to walk around Murano with your guide.

Visit a glass factory, where you watch a glassblower creating beautiful pieces of glassware, a Murano tradition that dates back to 1291. Hear a bit about the island’s history from your guide, who tells you about Murano’s prosperity in the 1400s and 1500s, when it was the center of glassmaking in Europe. Then go admire other sights like churches decorated with mosaics and other ornamental details.

Next, visit Torcello, an island established between the 5th and 6th centuries, to see its ornate palaces and churches. Highlights include the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in the 7th century, and the excavated remnants of the baptistery in the Church of Santa Fosca. Then head to your third stop, Burano, an island known for its lace production, which dates back to the 16th century and was once the best in Europe. While you visit local shops and a museum to admire high-end lace on display, admire the island’s brightly-colored fishermen’s houses.

Your tour then ends with the return boat ride to Venice.

Glass blowing demonstration and the beautiful colourful houses, also great to do in the afternoon after you have been walking round Venice all morning

    Rushed and crowded

    , Aug 2022
The trip was very crowded with around 100 people. Murano stop was very commercial with a fast glassblowing exhibition and then straight to their shop. There was not enough time to explore the island. Torcello stop included a lengthy walk to view an old church. Burano was fabulous but we had very little time to explore, way to rushed. Torcello could be missed and spend more time at Murano and Bursno.

    We had a great time...

We had a great time visiting each island. This was more like a taxi tour which is perfect to avoid waiting for public transportation. There was some explanation once in the boat but once in the island you are on your own. Since this was a late tour during the day it was hard to find a place to eat so I recommend to eat before. Also since it was in August a lot of places were close but other than that our family had a great time visiting these island.

We arrived at 2:10 for our 2:30 trip. They told us it was 2:00 from one point and 2:30 from another. Very disappointing

We had a great time. Isabella was very friendly and professional taking us to the most important points in the 3 islands. Just want to say that prices at the Murano glass factory are very high compare to shops outside the factory.

    Misleading description of “tour”.
    Kristine_P
    , Aug 2022
Very disappointing “tour” with a misleading description. The tour guide was essentially a ferry announcer. There was a Minimal description of each island with no explanation for what it’s known for or the history of it. When you got off the ferry you were on your own. For what this provided you could get an all day ferry pass and enjoy at your own pace for 21.50 euro. Extremely disappointing.

This excursion is not worth the money. There’s not enough time on any of the three islands to really appreciate them. The guide was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. All she did was talk about a few sites and then spend the majority of time smoking. Can’t back to boat after the break and was not allowed on the boat so the boat teams could chat with each other leaving all of us guests standing out in the hot sun. Torcello is a complete waste of time. Better to spend the whole half day in Burano which is beautiful.

I was familiar with Murano, but not of Burano and Torcello. They were beautiful islands that you need to spend more than 45 minutes at. The guide gave good information on board, but was not around during any of the parts on the islands. The tour wasn't signed well and we almost missed our trip.

It was ok. Would have been better if a bit more information was given about the islands. Dropped off at a mystery island which we don't know the name of!

Complete waste of time. They didn’t even take us to the factory just showed us a fake demo and spent majority of the time trying to get us to shop for glass artefacts.

    Sightseeing and local commerce hand-in-hand…

    , Jul 2022
We used this excursion to pick up some VERY high quality gifts (Murano Glass in Murano, lace products in Burano). The glass-blowing demonstration by itself was worth the cost of the ticket! Traveling by boat between the stops make you feel like a part of Venice.

Can do as a one time experience. The shared boat takes you to the 3 specified locations. One can also take a one day pass or hop on hop off Venice tour( which is a boat) and do the same maybe at cheaper rate

From the fabulous glass blowing experience in Murona to the colourful waterside buildings in Burano ( special mention on the patisserie) and the history of Torcello not to mention the ice cream. Great trip highly recommend.

Very good trip. Don’t forget your mask as this is a requirement on public transport. Tour guide knowledgeable. No toilets on the water bus so be aware. The glass factory is amazing. Not much to do in torcello but Murano and burano were fab.

Murano and Burano were lovely, didn't see the point in going to Torcello. It was very hot and not much to do there. Murano glass demonstration was good. Burano was like Ballamory. Brightly coloured houses and lots of tourist shops and canals.

This was a rough trip with a wheelchair.. particularly Torcello. I would find a trip with Murano and Burano only. My dad had a tough time!
