Your tour departs from your hotel in the morning, when you board an air-conditioned vehicle and settle in for the journey to Prague. Along the way, pass the picturesque natural landscapes of Bohemia and Moravia, and listen to live commentary provided by your guide.

On arrival in Prague, embark on a comprehensive city tour designed to showcase the Czech capital’s major attractions. The 15th-century Charles Bridge, the broodingly Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, and Wenceslas Square, the social and political heart of the city, are all covered.

Then, you have the remainder of the day to explore independently—continue to check off top sights by visiting the Old Town Square, the National Museum, and the Prague Astronomical Clock, and enjoy Prague’s excellent shopping and eating opportunities.

Then, reconvene with your guide and relax during the journey back to your Vienna accommodation.

Leaving Vienna on an airconditioned bus/van through the Austria Wine Quarter you reach the border to the Czech Republic after a 45 min drive. On the streets to Prague you cross the picturesque Moravia, former part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire as well as Bohemia, once part of the Habsburg Monarchy. Arriving in Prague, the best way to explore all, that has to be seen, is a walking tour. Your personal guide, who gives you advice and support for the whole day, let you learn about former times to present days and is highly endeavored to make this day memorable. Check out with him the grace and charme of the city, that represents all the times, Prague has gone through. At the end of the day you'll have an impression of most of the main sights such as Wenceslas Square, National Museum, Powder Tower, the Municipal House (Art Noveau), House of the Black Madonna - the Cubist House with it's Grand Café Orient, the Estates Theatre, Charles University, Old Town Square, Tyn Church, National Gallery or the Jan-Hus Monument. Gathering around 4pm at the meeting point Square the visit ends with an relaxing drive back to your drop-off-point in Vienna.

This tour i would recommend it if you have a short stay in Austria. Yes the travel time from Vienna is more than 3 hours but it is worth it to see Prague in a day covers all the highlights . And ask for Josef . He gave us with so much information , that he went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied at the end of the tour.

Prague Replaced By Bratislava

We received an email that the tour was cancelled due to minimum number not met. We were so looking forward to it. And they replaced it with Bratislava private tour at the same price. But Bratislava can’t be compared to Prague. There were only few attractions and it was underwhelming. Just disappointed that Viator couldn’t just offer a private tour to Prague instead (even at a higher cost) we would have gladly accepted it.

Too Much To See And So Little Time To See It

Guide picked us up exactly on time and had a very comfortable SUV for our travels. Our Guide, Rudolph, was very knowledgeable and kept us informed all the way to Prague. Once there, we had a great walking tour through the city and suggested a wonderful place for lunch which all, even Rudolph joined us. After lunch we headed back to the van with some allowance for stopping in a few shops for souvenirs. The ride back to Vienna was very comfortable and included an unexpected stop at a gift shop in the Czech Republic for some amazing bargains. All in all, a great trip, well worth the price. Rudolph was a very informed tour guide and a very safe driver to boot.

Vienna to Prague is a long journey both ways but made bearable in a comfortable mini coach with an excellent driver. Our group was just 4 people speaking Spanish and English. Prague is a beautiful city divided by a wide river and with beautiful castles and churches / cathedrals on both sides linked a 500 m long stone bridge across the river. Our driver, come guide, had amazing knowledge about the turbulent history of the city and was a participant in the revolution. The city is associated with important scientists including Kepler and Einstein and has an amazing astronomical clock. This is the home of magnificent Bohemian glass but not all is made locally - check the label for origin. Another word of caution, this is a predominantly walking tour as no vehicles are allowed in the city centre, so ware sturdy shoes as the old city has cobbled streets that are hard and uneven. That said we thoroughly enjoyed the day and can thoroughly recommend this tour. Mustn’t forget the stop off at Excalibur which was festooned with dragons and knights shining bright against the evening sky!
