Georgetown Foodie Tour and Neighborhood Walk

I greatly enjoyed this tour and the experience. My tour guide was phenomenal and the food was amazing. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Very slow paced... got bored not even half way through. There was not adequate seating at one of the restaurants. The history was mainly about different houses in the neighborhood.

Marsha was the perfect host. Georgetown is even better on foot and the iconic restaurants were perfect. Even the rain could not dampen this fun day.thank you for a great experience. We would definitely recommend this to our friends😊

Alan was very knowledgeable and did a good job. The food portions were more than I expected ...enough for lunch and dinner...and it was delicious! I reccomend this tour.

Marcia, the tour guide, was excellent. Could be more food stops in the 3 hours since 4 seems low but the history of Georgetown made up for it.

Lydia was informative and knowledgeable regarding the history of old Georgetown, the off the beaten path places we visited were charming and wouldn’t have been discovered otherwise. I didn’t enjoy the first stops food but that was a personal preference,others did, but the history of the place recounted by Lydia was very interesting. We saw Kennedy’s home while he lived in Georgetown, Julia Child’s home where she started her culinary journey and others. Loved walking the old streets decked out in their Halloween glory. Lydia even stayed and visited with us at our last stop which was unexpected yet welcomed. Showed we weren’t just a job. Thank you Lydia!

This is a good food tour though it definitely caters to the average meat eating crowd. You walk approximately 2 miles in total, with the stops in between. The first stop is at a neighborhood charcuterie. As a pescatarian who also tries to follow a gluten free diet (most of the time) this first stop didn't cut it. The empanadas looked great (hubby had one) but I was given a broccoli salad - meh. It's too bad they didn't have a vegetable empanada available because I may have cheated on my gluten diet this one time. The next stop was at Via Umbria. Quaint little restaurant. While my party enjoyed some sort of hot chicken sandwich, I received a small endive salad with smoked salmon (lox) - meh. I like smoked salmon but if it's more cooked. A aperol spritzer is provided and it was too sweet. It would be nice if we could have a choice of drink such as wine and also if they had gluten free bread available for a vegetarian sandwich. The third stop is at Chaia Taco. Finally something I could eat! I ordered 2 extras tacos on my own. This is a go-to destination in Georgetown and rightfully so. Their tacos are DELICIOUS! I ordered the zucchini taco on my own and it wasn't great but the kale/potato one which comes with the tour is heavenly. The final place is a bakery across the street. The cookies are very good - and they make some of the best chocolate coconut macaroons I've every tasted. Our guide provided insightful information on Georgetown and DC.
