- The English Lake District weather can change quickly, even in the summer months. Please bring a waterproof coat with a hood in case of rain or windy weather

- As there is a little walking involved on the tour, some uphill and on uneven or wet terrain, please wear suitable, comfortable shoes

Not to be missed, this intimate day trip was a thoroughly enjoyable experience made even more memorable by Tim who shared his vast knowledge of the Lakes along with interesting facts and stories of yesteryear that brought the whole landscape to life. The tour was well organised striking the right balance between touring in the bus and stopping off to see the wonderful lakes and sites with plenty of time to take photos. The boat trip from Ullswater was really pleasant along with the visit to Grasmere to sample Sarah Nelson's famous homemade gingerbread dating back to the 1800s. All in all a great day out and one we would recommend to anyone who wants to experience the 'real' Lake District.

The trip was an absolute delight, well curated and without a dull moment. Though the tour packs in quite a lot, we were able to enjoy our time without feeling rushed. Our favourite bits were the Ullswater boat ride, the spectacular surprise view and the slate mine. We enjoyed the company of our wonderful guide Steve and would highly recommend this tour!

It was an excellent tour - when you come to the Lake District you can’t miss doing this tour.
The tour took you to places you wouldn’t of been able to do on your own and all aspects of the tour were thoroughly thought about.
Lastly Tim was the most amazing tour guide - he was knowledgeable and friendly and the coach was comfortable and air conditioned.
A fantastic day touring around the Lakes!

Me and my boyfriend had a brilliant time on this tour. Tim, our guide for the day, was so knowledgeable and friendly. We felt we got to see so much of the area being on thie tour than if we had headed out by ourselves.
A definite tour for people to book if visiting the area for the first time.
Would go again definitely. You can choose your own day out anywhere, and go on a private tour with your own friends and

I liked paddling in a lake we stopped at. I made friends with the young couple I met from Romania 🇷🇴, who were travelling with me. The driver spoke very nicely, and was very informative. I could relax whilst he drove which was a treat. The driver Tim is very calm , which made me relax. He enjoys his job and did his best to make sure we all had a lovely day. The driver is a people person and makes everyone feel like an individual, listening to everyone. Thank you for a lovely day exploring the lakes, without too much exercise!!! Lovely vehicle as well. Felt like a Princess for the day!

Tim was our guide for the day. As there was only the two of us he amended the tour to suit us as we had already been to the slate mine. The tour was so informative and such a great way to learn about the Lake District. Tim was a mine of information and had a reply to every question we threw at him. He knew the roads like the back of his hand and we felt safe the whole trip. I can’t praise Tim enough, such a knowledgeable and friendly guide and we loved it despite the showers! Thanks Tim. We recommend this trip 100% !!

A tour in a small van - 6 passengers -- was a bit like being shown around by a friend. Tim, the guide, was knowledgeable and also knew when to pause and let us take in the scenery on our own. Even if one had a car at one's disposal, the tour has the advantage of a driver who knows the roads and the parking areas.
