Great views aided by lovely warm weather. Unfortunately we couldn't hear the tour guide as we were sat at the back next to the motor. In addition, despite turning up early, the tour guide attempted to sell our prebooked seats in front of us and wouldn't let us interject to tell him we were there.

It was a really relaxing cruise with a brilliantly informative and witty commentary from Arron who was very knowledgeable about the local area. There was a clear passion and pride for York shown by him, which made it lovely to learn about York through him.

We were hoping for a different view of the city, but actually from the boat we mainly saw trees in abundance along the riverside. Still, the guide told us what we might have seen at another time of year. A damp evening, but at least we were under cover!
