Returns to original departure point
Greet your expert guide at a central Zurich location and climb aboard an air-conditioned coach for a panoramic tour of Zurich, a city considered Switzerland’s cultural capital. Admire the rich architectural array and hear tales of Zurich’s prosperous past before travelling the Rapperswil, a charming medieval town known as the ‘City of Roses’.

On arrival, marvel at the towering turrets of the medieval castle and then enjoy some leisurely free time to explore independently. Return to your vehicle and capture panoramic photographs of the Alps as you cross the Ricken Pass and arrive in Toggenberg, a gorgeous region replete with swooping valleys and beautiful mountain scenery.

Next, cross the border to Vaduz, capital of the minute Principality of Liechtenstein, and spend more leisurely free time discovering the charm of the city. Visit the Post Office to catch a glimpse of its highly prized stamps and then return to the coach for the short journey to Maienfield, the stunning setting of the Heidi stories.

Take a pleasant stroll to a collection of mountain houses and absorb incredible views of the surrounding mountains. Opt to visit the Heidi House at your own expense and then gaze at the picturesque banks of Lake Walen as you travel back to Zurich by coach.

Please note: In wintertime, visit the quaint village of Werdenberg instead of Maienfeld.

Great Tour Company and Tour GUide
, Jul 2021
First of all regardless of the tour, Viator has been an outstanding tour company. Easy to sign up and pay. Great communication about the tour and tickets. The Heidiland and Liechtenstein tour was a great tour. My only recommendation is that there be more time in Leichtenstein than Rapperswil. Leichenstein should be at the front end of the tour for lunch with a brief stop in the Rose City at the end of the day.

Dear Bill We thank you for your review and we appreciate your 4-start rating. I agree VIATOR is a good partner to work with very efficient booking tool and most customer friendly. The Heidiland Tour has the visit with lunch break in Rapperswil because we reach there at about lunchtime 12.30 pm. We agree that some of our clients had a late breakfast and are not feeling like having lunch but rather prefer to have a cake or a snack around 4 pm in Vaduz. According to the journey, it is Rapperswil where it suits better and the medieval town, the city of Roses has many attractions to offer. Of course, Vaduz in the principality of Liechtenstein is another highlight to be visited, the main road with stores and restaurants and the famous art museum. We regret but this tour is limited to 7.5 hours in length - maybe this is a good reason to come again for spending more time in Vaduz. Many thanks for your input and we hope to welcome you again on one of our tours. Best regards / Madeleine
Not so good

The trip was so stressful, not so much time to every place, we are always in a hurry no time to enjoy the place. I will not do it again a trip like this.
Overall good

Overall very good tour. Ana (tour guide) did a great job. Would have liked to have spent more time in Rapperswil and Lichtenstein and less/no time at Heideland (to see any of the rooms was extra cost).
Lovely trip 😊

Well organized tour.. 2 cities in 2 diff countries and the famous village of Heidiland all in one day.. Ana (our tour guide) and Mark (our driver) were very friendly and professional.. enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it :)
Great tour

Barbara was a really good guide, very knowledgable. Armando was a great driver maneuvering that bus. Overall it was a great experience. I would have liked to do it on Saturday, as I originally planned but I understand you can't just take me and my daughter on that big bus. I liked that it wasn't a packed tour either but that could change also as restrictions ease up. My daughter and I had a great time.
Great Value!

We went on the tour in March in the midst of the coronavirus hysteria. The tour was very reasonably priced (especially for Switzerland!), the tour guide was good and the sights were beautiful. Because of the season, we skipped Heidiland-which honestly was fine with me. The towns we visited were so incredibly beautiful and we were brought to places I never would have discovered on my own. Bring your passport, and you can have it stamped in Liechtenstein for $3. It was the perfect amount of time for a tour and everything about it was well planned and thoughtful. Not a lot of walking, so ideal for any age.
The drive into theAlps

The trip was excellent and our guide was very knowledgeable. I don’t remember his name but he is from Mexico and living in Switzerland for 27 years so knows a lot. Only thing was the Heidi’s house was closed until March 15th so I wish we could have spent more time in the nearby town that came right before Heidiland.
Beautiful countryside

Small group This was the highlight of my trip to Zurich. A beautiful place to visit and remember my childhood, reading the Heidi books. The best views of the Swiss countryside. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!! It was nice to have Urs as a guide. As he grew up in the areas we visited he was able to give us first knowledge and tips about the area. The scenery along the way was breathtaking. We highly recommend this tour to others.
Beautiful Tour

Our driver Emil was excellent despite challenges with weather and narrow hillside roads. Our tour operator Urs was knowledgeable and friendly. Altogether it was an enjoyable tour. We enjoyed getting to see the smaller Swiss towns and Alpine countryside.
